Exercise files

Exercise files have been compressed into self extracting .EXE files for your convenience.

Preparation:

We recommend you create a folder c:\electus on drive C before downloading exercise files.
If you would like to print out of these instructions then Hold the CTRL key down and press P on the keyboard.

Download:

Step 1: Locate the course you want the exercise files for:
· Click once on the first disk icon under the Course Files Links column (this will be an EXE file).
Step 2: Save the .EXE file to disk:
· Write down the name of the .EXE file (this will help you to locate it later)
· Click on the Save button.
· In the Save in: field select the location (folder) where you want to save the .EXE file.
· Once the correct folder is displayed in the Save in: field click the Save button.
· Once the file has been saved you may need to click the close button.
Step 3: Virus check the .EXE file:
· We recommend you virus check the .EXE using your virus checking software as a safeguard.
Step 4: Extract the individual exercise files from the .EXE file:
· Using Windows Explorer locate and double click the .EXE file you saved in step 2.
· Note down the folder name the files will be extracted into
(eg C:\Electus) OR browse to select a different folder 
· Click the Unzip button.
· Click OK once the exercise files have been extracted.
